External IDs OMIM608537 MGI103223 HomoloGene465 GeneCards: VHL Gene

The Von Hippel–Lindau tumor suppressor also known as pVHL is a protein that in humans is encoded by the VHL gene. Mutations of the VHL gene are associated with Von Hippel–Lindau disease.

Vhl knockout mouse models

For Vhl gene, both proximal (Vhl-Sglt2-Cre) and distal (Vhl-Ksp-Cre) tubule knockout mouse models do not develop kidney tumors.
