1. Our cell culture platform
We have two air-conditioned and ultra-clean cell culture rooms. Each is equipped with two CO2 incubators, a Biosafety Cabinet, a light inverted microscope, a cell counter, a -20°C freezer, a 4°C refrigerator, a centrifuge, and other related instruments. Access to the cell culture room is strictly monitored. Entry requires a change of shoes, clean specialized clothing, a mask and gloves, and an air shower.
2. Our molecular experimental platform
Our molecular laboratory has almost all the basic biological equipment needed, including a PCR machine, electrophoretic instruments, a gel imaging system, spectrophotometer, a -4°C centrifuge, bench centrifuges, four -80°C freezers, two -20°C freezers, three 4°C fridges, an ice maker, fume hoods, biosafety cabinets, shakers, water baths, sets of pipette and more.
3. Our mouse modeling and in vivo experimental platform
We have established a specific-pathogen free (SPF) vivarium equipped with a Biosafety Cabinet and two exhaust ventilation central cages (EVC) boxes. Each EVC box can hold 100 mouse cages. The vivarium is able to house 1,200 mice. A series of Standard-Operating-Procedures (SOPs) have been set up for various operations in the vivarium. To date, we have developed seven metastatic mouse models: foot to popliteal lymph node, breast fat pad to lung/liver, prostate to lung, bladder to lung, kidney to lung, lung to liver, and spleen to liver. Other metastatic models are under construction. We also provide other in vivo mouse experiments such as xenograft testing, acute toxicity testing, and more.
4. Our microscopic imaging platform
By collaborating with the South China Center of Innovative Pharmaceuticals, Exploring Health LLC has taken over the shared microscopic imaging platform. This platform is equipped with sets of high-resolution microscopes such as a Zeiss fluorescence microscope, a Zeiss inverted fluorescence microscope, a stereofluorescence microscope, a dissecting microscope and light microscopes.
5. Our sample storage platform
Exploring Health LLC places much importance on sample collection, storage and conservation. We have four -80°C freezers and two nitrogen tanks for cryopreservation of cell lines and tissue samples, guaranteeing the safety of cell lines and tissue samples in our laboratory.
